Newest Co Vid Travel Updates

The Newest Co vid Travel Updates- a changing landscape for sure.

The last few years have been a wild ride for sure on travel restrictions due to Covid. Suddenly a ton of destinations and cruise lines have changed course. Here’s the latest from today (one day after the State of the Union speech.)

Dominican Republic

The Dominican Republic dropped masking requirements in indoor and outdoor settings (except the airport). [There have been no testing requirements for quite some time.]

Jamaica

Negril Beach Jamaica

The white sand beach of Jamaica is more accessible.

Jamaica will no longer impose travel-related quarantines or require travel authorization to enter the country starting March 1. Visitors ages 12 and older must still show negative results from a COVID-19 (antigen or PCR) taken within 72 hours before arrival.

St. Maarten

St. Martin will stop requiring fully vaccinated travelers (as well as those who’ve recovered from COVID-19 within the past nine months) to show negative test results when they arrive (effective March 1). Unvaccinated visitors must still show negative PCR results taken within 48 hours before arrival or antigen results (taken 24 hours before arrival.) Also, the destination extended nightlife business hours to 3 am.

Mexico

Mexico does not have any restrictions for entry into the country or masks for guests are optional.

Cruise Lines

Norwegian Cruise line face masks are now at guests’ discretion, although mandatory CoVid vaccines for all guests over 11 years old is required. Other cruise lines are expected to follow. More about NCL’s safe travel information.

We recommended checking travel requirements from the country you want to travel to.
